Get to know more about the main characters of Litolia here.

The King:

Jean-Luc de Lioncoeur was born in the late summer of 1376.  The youngest of three sons, it was doubted that he would even inherit the throne and he was allowed free reign during his childhood and young adulthood.  Off traveling when the plague broke out in the summer of 1398, Jean-Luc was spared the fate that claimed the rest of his family.  Father and two brothers dead, Jean-Luc inherited the throne.  Now the young king struggles to gain control over a kingdom left with too few workers and an empty court.  Always stubborn and impetuous, Jean- Luc seeks to restore Litolia through the sheer force of will.

The Queen:

Anne-Marie was born into the powerful Le Blanc family in 1380.  After the plague, the Le Blancs were lucky to have been left mostly untouched by the sickness.  With many families of the court left decimated, and the new king desperately needing the reassurance of an alliance with a powerful family, it was not hard for Anne-Marie to win the king's hand.  Now after one year of marriage, Jean-Luc is growing restless with Anne-Marie's lack of ability to provide an heir.  He desperately needs children to restore stability to the kingdom and grows frustrated with Anne-Marie's frivolous nature.

The Duke:

Girard Le Blanc is the older brother of the Queen.  Born in 1370, he has a few years of experience on the new king.  Although he is currently acting as the King's chief adviser, the ever ambitious Girard begins to wonder if perhaps the kingdom would be better off in his more capable hands.
